What does Mbps mean and can it run up my computer's usage a month?
Every month I have a limit for my internet and my step dad has his iphone connected to my computer and he is online. Does that mean his Iphone can use my internet usage or does his Iphone have no effect to that?

Mbps = Mega bits per second.
MBps = Mega bytes per second
1 MBps = 8 Mbps.

You dad is tethering his iPhone. This does effect the bandwidth cap that phones provider uses.
- Would I need a fast mbps rate to host audio streaming? My ambition is to create an iPhone app, in which users will be able to listen to streamed music (like Pandora, or Spotify). I just won an item on ebay and after messaging the seller i had a reply saying nothing but "I'll leave it run thanks", Does anybody have any idea what this means if it helps the item was an iphone, it doesn't make any sense to me please help explain what this means.
