What happens after a police report for stolen iPhone 4s?
My iPhone 4s was stolen. I called my service provider and ''canceled'' my contract (it was put on a black list i think). I contacted the police and filed a police report.
I advised them that my phone could be tracked by its intergrated GPS (not by reception towers like where was it last used). I also told them that I knew a thief who got caught stealing an iPhone 4s because it was easily tracked.
Now what? How much time will it take for me to have news from them?
Added (1). I did have the find my iPhone app and iCloud, the problem is that I blocked cellular data from my iPhone (I chose plan without 3G or 4G) AND had a code so the only way the thief could access my phone is if he / she wipes it therefore the app is left useless.
You should of installed the find my iphone app you could track it from any other iphone as well as lock it, wipe the memory clean and or display a number for the thief or whoever found it to call

- What happens if you buy a iPhone of eBay and it happens to be stolen? I typed in a serial number of an iPhone into apple checker and it said the phone has not been activated? The phone is still sealed in its box is the phone ok to buy?
- What happens if i report my iphone 6 lost at T-mobile? Would they be able to give me a brand new one? Would they track down the device. And whoever stole it, will they be able to use the phone? Also i have the plan Jump.

So I was thinking if I report it lost I can give him the new one since I have insurance for it. If I report it lost will the iPhone 5 that I'm using right now still work. I have t mobile.
- What happens if I call to report a broken otterbox case? So I just broke my $50 iPhone 5 otter box case! And I know they give you lifetime warranty but by not thinking or anything, I threw away the case when it happened and I was thinking if I call now will they ask me to send it back or not? Or will they ask for any proof? Because there's not way of getting the broken case back.
