What happens if I try inserting my T-Mobile SIM card in my iPhone 4S?
Apparently, I just got an iPhone 4S for AT&T without contract and not unlocked. I notice that my T-Mobile SIM card is too big for the iPhone SIM card slot, but I'm pretty sure you can cut it to a good size and yet it may be risky. My plan for T-Mobile is the Pre-Paid plan; it has minutes and balance on my phone. I paid a hundred dollars for 1000 minutes and text messages, 3G disabled on my HTC MyTouch 3G device. I want to unlock my iPhone 4S but I don't want to jailbreak it. My oldest sister told me that when she placed her AT&T SIM card on the iPhone 3GS, AT&T automatically charge you monthly for the data plan even though if cellular data's turned off. She also told me that unlocked iPhones are iPhones that are capable for any SIM cards. So my questions are:
1.) Do you guys think my SIM card will be broken if I try cutting it to a smaller size?
2.) If my SIM card breaks, is there a way for me to obtain another SIM card (For T-Mobile) with the SAME PHONE NUMBER, CONTACTS, and PREPAID PLAN? If yes, how much will I need to pay?
3.) Will T-Mobile automatically charge me for data plan if I insert my SIM card to my iPhone 4S?
4.) Do I need to jailbreak my iPhone 4S in order to unlock it? Anyway to unlock it without the jailbreak process?
5.) Any warnings? Tips that I should be aware of before desiring to do this on my own risk?
IPHONE SWAG!
Thats doing too much. Just get it unlocked no need to jailbreak it
- Will an iPhone 5 locked with t-mobile work with a simple mobile SIM card? I have a simple mobile SIM card and wanted to know if I could cut it down to fit my iphone 5 bought from t-mobile
- Reuse T-Mobile cut-to-use-for iPhone SIM card back to regular T-Mobile phone? Is that possible? My SIM card has been cut to fit on iPhone but I'm going to sell it next month to go back to regular T-Mobile phone. I still have the cutout piece from original T-Mobile SIM Card. Can I re-attach micro SIM to original T-Mobile card and use it on new T-Mobile phone, or would I have to buy the new SIM card and activate it again on pay-as-go-plan?
- Inserting Tesco SIM card in a locked O2 iPhone 5? I want to buy an iPhone 5 second hand that is locked to O2. I've read off loads of forums that inserting a Tesco SIM card into a locked iPhone 5 WILL work. Can someone please confirm if this is true (past experience?) as I don't really want to use unlocking websites.
- Inserting MetroPCS sim card into Iphone 5? OK, read this question carefully please. This is more for a technical expert. I currently have a MetroPCS android smartphone with a MetroPCS sim card. The sim card is a regular sim card (not a micro or a nano sim card). I'm aware that if i purchase a sim card cutter, that i can convert my regular sim card into a nano sim card. If i insert this new MetroPCS nano sim card into an unlocked Iphone 5, would my MetroPCS service work on my Iphone?
