What happens in juvenile court?
IIm 16 years old and IIm being charged with grand theft or a frlony. The person from djj the is handling my case is recommending me for teen court or a diversion program because it's my first offense. I took an iPhone 6 from a girl at my school and the track my iPhone thing went off after like 3 hours and she got her phone back undamaged but her family wants to press charges and they are going at this really hard and really want me to be punished and I think they just want money. But I make good grades and IIm in honors classes. Since the incident I've switched schools and began therapy. What's going to happen when I go to court? Is the judge going to talk to me in his chambers? Or is he going to just see the recommendation and just say okay and that will be all? How long is my hearing going to last? Will they drug test me? And I live in Florida if that helps.
