What is so special about the new iPhone X and the iPhone 8?

- What's special about iPhone 5S? There are so many features to the new iPhone 5S? Anything exceptional that makes the upcoming phone a special gadget?

I've always been content with having a normal phone that can take calls and text but what is with the hype with the new iphone 5 that can make people camp for one for weeks and spend £500-700.
