What is the other space for iPhone iTunes memory? - 1
There's music apps pictures then there's other. I can't figure it out, it takes up 2.5GB of my memory and I've erased so many things and that bar just doesn't go down.
This section isn't about that kind of space.
Read the Fine Manual (RTFM).
If you used a graphical interface like the finder to remove the files, they are not removed, they are renamed into a dot file which can be recovered from the trash can. You have to use the command line interface, a shell to remove the files or empty your trash can. Keep in mind that you don't actually remove data from non-volatile memory as in a diskless iPod, you actually wipe everything out in a block, reformat and rewrite it, many people who aren't patient would interrupt the process leaving a block of memory unaccessible especially if they keep thinking they're erasing something, you usually see this problem in less expensive mp3 players, Apple hides it well.

- Which ios is best for iphone 4, 8gb with a 2.1gb of memory free space? I have an iphone 4 8gb. Which ios is the best for my phone? Now i'm using ios 6. Sometimes it gets lagged when opening app such as line, path or instagram. Does the phone memory affect the performance too? Currently there's 2, 1 gb of free space in my phone. I don't put any musics in it. I only use my phone for communication and social media and gallery as well. Anyone know well about ios and iphone, your help is very appreciative.
- What does Other mean in iTunes memory? My 16GB iPhone 4S keeps running out of memory. I tried syncing it today only to find out that "Other" is taking up 7GB of memory. The other categories are Audio, Books, Photos, and Apps which do not take up nearly that much space. I tried clearing out a bunch of text messages, but it didn't help. What exactly is this "Other"? What can I delete in order to gain memory back?
- Possible to switch iphone 6 hard drive into iphone 6s harddrive? (for more memory space)? So I've broken my old iphone 6 which had way more storage than this new one, and I was wondering if I can change the hard drives or whatever holds the memory from phone to phone. I did buy an iPhone 6s so I'm not sure if the iphone 6 and 6s has different hardwares or whatever. But just curious.
