What is the point of a tablet?
I already have a macbook air and an iPhone. I personally don't see the point in getting a tablet (I guess it would be an iPad considering I'm already on the apple bandwagon) and to me it just seems like a bigger phone and a smaller laptop that does basically the same thing.
If i were to for some reason get a tablet down the road, what are the benefits?
*I'm going to be a college student soon if that means anything.
Ipad air is basically a tablet. You can just use that. There's no difference, the only thing is touch function instead of pointer function.
It is portable enough to carry with ease yet big enough to big enough to clearly see
You use an iPad in places and for functions where a laptop would be overkill and an iPhone would be underpowered. Besides, there's talk of Apple launching a bigger successor to the iPad Air which would be, in the truest sense, a laptop replacement.

Some people would prefer an in-between, hence the tablet category. Not all people need a laptop to browse the internet on occasion, so a tablet is a perfect device, to just pick up, use, put back down.
Its of course not for everyone, so if you don't see the need for it, then don't get one.
- What's the point of unlocking an iphone? Hi guys so i know people unlock their iphones because they want to change carrier but the locked iphones are sold for 200$ so would it be possible to buy a locked iphone in the us & unlock it in belgium? I mean wouldnt that save like 400$? That seems like an impossibly good deal but maybe i don't really get what a locked iphone is.
- What is the point of iMessage on the iPhone? I do not get it. It's "faster"? That's all I've heard. But ever since that feature was added my texts started randomly not going thru or not sending for a few minutes. A little at first but worse and worse and now probably every day. Why not just send it as a regular text anyway? So my messages can be in a pretty blue bubble?
- What is the point of buying an iPhone 5 if you can get iOS 6? People say when you get iOS 6, you get to get all the features an iPhone 5 has, but if thats the case then why do you need an iPhone 5? Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy a suckish iPod and get iOS 6?
- Tablet snapshots on the Tablet and iPhone? I'm not very tech-savvy guy, go please forgive me. But does a Samsung note 10.1-the 2013- snapshot consume more memory space than a iPhone 4 in general? Here are the dimensions(again I do not know what I'm doing) Tablet(Note) 10.1" widescreen 1280x800 WXGA TFT LCD 149 pixels per inch (ppi) iPhone 4 640 x 960 pixels, 3.5 inches (~330 ppi)
