What programming language should i use?

I'm wanting to make an iPhone/iPad app using Xcode. What language is the best for doing that?
Javascript?

C, C++ or Objective-C, considering that iOS is written in those languages. I don't think JavaScript would work. It's mainly used for web development.

To make an app for Iphone/Ipad/Apples devices you need to program in C#, it isn't easy and will take a while to learn, so be ready for it if you want to make an app.

I don't know where people are getting their ideas in the replies you've been given but not one word said so far has been true.

You don't use any variation of C or C++ for programming on a mobile device. It won't work

Javascript is a web development language, it has nothing to do with actual programming

C# will not run on any mobile device, nor is it a language you would want to use even if it would.

All - I repeat All mobile applications are written in Java-XML (Java NOT JavaScript, those are two completely different things) Anyone who tells you otherwise has absolutely no idea what they are talking about

  • Would playing The Sims in another language be a good way to learn that language? I play The Sims a lot anyway. There's a lot of volcabulary like household objects, emotions, everyday tasks etc This wouldn't be my only way of learning btw. I also have a learning French iphone app and a friend who is fluent.
  • Which Computer language should I learn? I'm in 9th grade and I'm interested in computer programming but I don't know where to begin. I was thinking JAVA, or the C languages. As an adult I want to be a Software engineer but while I'm in high school I want to do some iPhone app development and write up some mods for video games so what is the best languages for my interests.
  • What language should I start with to start developing iOS apps? If I want to develop iPhone apps, should I learn Python first or just go straight to objective C or learn something else? I have 0 programming skills and have only done some web development. I have a Mac and Xcode.
  • Should a Graphic Designer learn iOS programming? I'm going to college for Graphic Design and found a intro to iOS programming class. The class shows the basics of designing applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The course will also have the basic introduction to HTML, CSS, Javascript and Objective C language. And in the end the student will earn a CiTE certificate. I've never done anything like this before, which is why I'm not sure if it is relevant or useful for a future Graphic Desiger like me to learn.
