What's the best balanced way that's still effective to beat a strong smartphone addiction?
1. Just stick with a basic cell phone that has no internet access and leave all web browsing and social media to your computer?
2. Go ahead and buy a smartphone, but leave it at home or in your bedroom when you need to go do something important or have dinner with the family, etc., perhaps taking the SIM out and popping it in a basic phone for work?
3. Buy an iPhone and block app installation and web browsing by setting up parental controls either with the help of a friend or with an impossible-to-remember password?
4. Buy a smartphone of any sort and add an app such as Forest that is designed to help fight cellphone addiction?
5. Just give up and spend hours on your phone when you really should be doing something else.
Find out what happens when you want to use your smartphone by monitoring your actions. Then make a new habbit when you experience these triggers.
Trust me, its easier to do 5 pushups instead of checking your phone than it is to just not use your phone
