What's the best desktop computer you can buy?

I'm looking for a good computer in Australia for a reasonable amount of money that I can use for the Internet, movie and music download and that's compatible with my iPhone. Needs a fair amount of memory.

Since you obviously like apple products try one of the imacs they seem to be good for multipurpose uses (depending on the model) for your uses go for one with simalar specs to this:
intel core i5 or i7 around 3ghz speed (not nessesary only since you are downloading you need a air mount of speed)
at least 8GB RAM
large hdd maybe 1T
if that dosn't work try a windows pc, you can buy one at a reasonable price that will suit your needs just fine and will be compatible with your iphone… Maybe even go for a laptop… Also you don't need to spend too much money if you are not gaming
hope this helps.

  • Wi-Fi adapter for a desktop computer? I have a dell computer that use to run windows vista but now runs do. It never had the ability to receive a wireless signal and always needed an Ethernet cable, is there any way to maybe use my old android phone, my current iphone, or my laptop to use as a Wi-Fi adapter? If not that's okay bit if there's a way to use one if those devices it would be great!
  • Why does my Computer take forever to copy files to my Desktop now? My computer was working fine until yesterday. All of the sudden it takes 2 hours to copy 20 videos from my iphone to my computer. I do this All the time and it takes no longer than 20 secs to copy the files to my desktop. But yesterday and today it's been taking up to 2 hours. I have windows 7 and an HP computer. It's practically a brand new PC.
  • What laptop or desktop would you recommend to a college freshman? I have an hp laptop, an Asus transformer 300t tablet and iPhone 5… Any recommendations, I want to maybe upgrade my laptop to a different one with a more attractive look and better performance.
  • Should I buy a next-gen console even though I have a pc desktop? So I've bought a pc and I'm happy with it but I'm wondering if I should spend my extra money on a next gen console. I was thinking of saving it for an iPhone but the second thoughts are happening again.
