What's wrong with my phone?

I have a Samsung Galaxy 5. Lately the Wi-Fi hasn't been working I have frontier which sucks anyway but places in town I can't even connect like Walmart, Lowes or at the university I can't connect. It says it's scanning but the Wi-Fi doesn't come on. I used my high speed date so I can't do anything on LTE for a week. I use to have a one month card then I switch to 6 months. I don't know if it's because I switched many card or what the hells going on it's never done this before. If I known I was gonna have this many problems I would have kept my iPhone. I'm going back to iPhone next time. I have straight talk. What's going on with the Wi-Fi everywhere even at my own house? How can I fix it?

Are you sure you have Wi-Fi turned on and no security app is waiting for you to tell it that you know it is a public Wi-Fi and don't plan on doing any banking?
Also make sure Airplane mode is off.
If you have home Wi-Fi you might want to see how your internet company has you sign up to use their hotspots.
