Put my iphone in rice

I dropped alcohol in the earphone jack of my iphone 4 last night. When i got home that night i didn't think anything was wrong so i plugged it in the charger and went to bed. This morning it wouldnt turn on so i put it upside down in rice hoping that the liquid would soak up in the rice. I checked it tonight and it turned back on! Is it safe to charge it now? Does this mean there isn't anymore liquid in it? Because it's showing me that it needs to be charged.

Charge it its fine

  • Is it too late to put my iPhone 5 in rice? I dropped my iPhone 5 into the toilet 2 days ago while using iFunny (how clumsy) and it stayed in the toilet for about 10 seconds. I took it out and dried it off with a towel. I didn't have any rice at home at the time so I just left it there. I'm wondering now if it's too late to put it in rice, or should I put it in more water to get the full effect of the rice (I don't think so… ) or should I just carry it to the apple store.
  • Is it too late to put iPhone in rice when water dripped inside? If a little bit of water dripped into the bottom of my iPhone 4S, is it too late to put it into rice 24hrs later when I believe the water is already dried. My volume doesn't work, only headphones do.
  • I put my iphone in the washer and dryer. I have it in rice. What do I do? The screen is not showing anything but I hear noises if I get a text/email so the phone is on. Is it busted? Could rice help this issue? How do I turn it off? I called the phone and it rings. I can even answer by pressing where I know the slide to answer bar is. The screen just won't show anything. Is this a good development, bad or indifferent?
