What to turn off on your iPhone when going abroad?
I'm going away today and i need to to know what to turn off so I'm not going to charged AT ALL. Every last bit please! And also if i connect to a free Wi-Fi abroad will it charge me? And what does it mean by in notifications where it says sort apps "manually" or "by time"?
Turn ON "Air plane mode" so your phone will not connect to any operator it will not able to get any network signal so it will not cost you!
If you connect it to free Wi-Fi hotspot it will cost you nothing at ALL!
when you back simply turn OFF the Air plane mode.
"if i connect to a FREE Wi-Fi abroad will it CHARGE me?" I'd think no…
Put the phone on airplane mode & disable cellular data & 3G.
The notifications thing, it means that they are sorted by when the come (time) or however you want them (manually).
- What to do if your iPhone 4S keeps going off by itself? My iphone keeps going off by itself and turning back on by itself. Like if I get on one of my apps, my screen turns black and goes off by itself and turns back on. I tried resetting my iPhone 2 times but it still does this. Can someone please help me with this because its so annoying.
- What should I turn off/on on my iPhone when travelling abroad? I'm going to Germany for a few days and I'm taking my O2 Pay and Go iPhone5 but what settings should I turn on or off so I don't get charged a stupid amount or use all my top up money? I'm guessing data roaming should be turned off for a start. I do want to post pictures while I'm there though too, should I only do this when I can find a Wi-Fi signal to connect to?
- Verizon Wireless user going abroad? If someone is on a contract with Verizon Wireless and is traveling abroad, will they be able to put a sim card locally into their Iphone 8?
- Turn off iPhone 5s completely when abroad? I'm going to Argentina for 3 weeks and I'm taking my iPhone 5s but I plan on turning it completely off. I've read so many horror stories about charges on your bill. I initially planned on turning the roaming off or whatever, but I'm not sure how all that works, so if I turn it off completely will everything be okay? Or do I have to do anything else like remove the sim card.
