What will happen if I got caught doing this?

My phone contract had recently ended and can't get new upgrade as its v, expensive! So I have to stick with this broken iPhone for another year! However I feel angry that my mom won't let me upgrade and I really want to use my moms cards and details to secretly buy a new phone contract. So what will happen if they find out that this isn't me?

It's called credit card fraud. The law tends to not look kindly on such activity.

If your phone is broken you can get one off ebay. Going a couple generations back saves a lot. Last phone I got was A galaxy s5 for about $150 and that was summer of 2016. I may consider replacing it this summer, but wouldn't go newer that a 7. I'm in IT so I know what I need from a phone and newer ones don't really do anything useful compared to the older ones.

This is fraud and the penalty would basically take away most of your life. Don't do it, it's not worth losing a lifetime for something as simple as a phone. Try talking to her first

Bad idea. Like others have said, credit card fraud. Do you think your mom would turn you in? Who do you think will pay the credit card bill? Do you think your mom does not look at her bills? Or maybe you think she won't notice that you have a new phone? She s not stupid you know.

Your mon could report it as a fraudulent transaction which technically then puts you in a whole heap of trouble.
