When can I take my iPhone 4S out of rice?

I've already searched answers but nothing seemed to match up. Last night, I dropped my phone in my bath for like two seconds (changing songs). And as soon as it fell, I grabbed it, and ran to my room. I always drop my apple products into water but I usually only shake out the water (it still works after that) but I don't want to run ANY risk with my phone. It's been in there for around 11 1/2 hours, when am I safe to take it out and put it back on the charger?

Check it switches on before you try charging. There could be a short circuit in the system which would cook it under charging. I personally recommend putting your phone overnight into an airing cupboard or somewhere which has a constant warmth to ensure drying out.

Yes. 11+ hours should be enough.
My opinion is that you can take it out for a test in like 3-5 hours.

Here's what I suggest you do if you drop your devices in water, as fast as you can in the same order:
1) Turn off the device (long press the button in iOS devices. Not the swipe to shutdown. Just keep holding on the power button until is shuts down).
2) Wipe it using a dry cloth.
3) Use a hairdryer to blow warm air through all holes and openings of the device.
4) Put in rice for 3-5 hours.

Note: Do not try to shake the water out of it! It can make things worse.

Gold luck.

No… Your best bet for "everything" to work is more time, like 40 - 50 hours total. The speaker will shred itself if it is still damp when you turn on your phone. If it worth the risk to remove the phone from the rice to early?
