Will rice take water out from a iphone screen?

My phone was by the windown and somehow water got in the screen ik wondering if the rice will take it out?

Its effectiveness as a dessicant is poor compared to silica gel packs, and it might shed particles that can get into it. Dessicant or not, you need to open the device and remove the battery and memory card to let dry air have good circulation to the interior.

  • When can I take my iPhone 4S out of rice? I've already searched answers but nothing seemed to match up. Last night, I dropped my phone in my bath for like two seconds (changing songs). And as soon as it fell, I grabbed it, and ran to my room. I always drop my apple products into water but I usually only shake out the water (it still works after that) but I don't want to run ANY risk with my phone. It's been in there for around 11 1/2 hours, when am I safe to take it out and put it back on the charger?
  • Water damaged iPhone and no rice? My iPhone went through a washing machine. It's been a couple of days and because I'm a college kid, I don't exactly keep dry rice in my dorm. I stuck it in easy mac, wrapped it in a coffee filter, and two paper towels. Does anyone know if this will work? When I plugged it into the computer like 5 minutes ago it turned on, but the touch was messed up and I couldn't unlock it or anything. The little guy's fighting for his life.
