When do you use the voicemail password on iPhones?
Why would they even make you set up a voicemail password if you never use it? When and how do you use it?
It depends on your cellular service provider.
Most of them allow you to check your cellular voicemail from other phones (like a work landline). This is handy if you have a limited number of voice minutes, misplaced/forgotten your handset, or if you're in a place with really poor cellular reception.
Note that this isn't specific to iPhones. This is valid for pretty much any cellular subscriber.
- What is the default voicemail password on my iPhone? I recently got the iPhone 5. Today, a notification randomly showed up asking for my voicemail password. Since I never set one up, I figured maybe it was my phone number. I tried that, along with the area code, and when that didn't work it tried the last four numbers of my phone number. That didn't work either. I called AT&T and got to voicemail help, and it wouldn't let me go any further without knowing my password.
- Is there any way I can use my deceased father's iphone X even though I don't know his password or his e-mail password? My dad passed away recently. He had a fairly new iPhone X. I'd like to use it as my own phone but I don't know the passcode. I watched a video on how to restore the phone but I still can't use it because the phone is connected to an itunes account… And since i don't know his e-mail password, i can't reset it. I went to AT&T (where we were on a family plan) but they said they can't help me. Is his nearly new phone destined to be a paper weight?
- Is tbere any major différence between thé iPhone 6 and the 6s? Whooppeee is Xmas again and my daughter wants new 2nd hand) iPhone… 2 years ago almost bought her 5 before i réaliséd that it was 5s she wanted ( cos thé 5 sucks?) And I don't want to screw up this year…
- IPhone 4 needs Voicemail Password? Just upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 7 and since doing so, a message will pop up every time I unlock the phone (and Cellular data is on) saying that I have the incorrect voicemail password. I've never made a voicemail password, and actually called my voicemail and gone with the option to delete my password which provided a half fix because this used to also happen at all times, but now, only when cellular data is on, any fixes to making it go away All the time?
