When I get a message on my iPhone, it doesn't make a sound?
Yes, my volume is on. Everything else works. But when I get a text, it doesn't make a sound, so when I check my phone and there's a message, I'm confused.
Maybe your ringer turned off?
Try turning your phone off then back on.
Did you check to see if the phone has a message tone set?
Settings > Sounds > Text Tone
Same problem since upgrade. Everything is on and set properly including a selected tone which I have changed a few times to see if any of them worked.
Try turning your blue tooth off. See if your sounds come back.
I had the same problem and maybe it happened to you too. On the left side of our phone is a silent mode switch above our volume buttons… I didn't know that until I got frustrated and tried restarting my phone but got it.
On the left side of our phone is a silent mode switch above our volume buttons I personally didn't know that until I got frustrated and tried restarting my phone but it fixed my problem. Not sure if this will help you though

- Why doesn't my right headphone doesn't make sound? I have the iPhone 7 EarPods (not the Bluetooth ones ) They were working just fine until one day I realized that there was no sound coming out of the right side. I already cleaned it but doesn't work. How do I fix this?
- Why doesn't my IPhone make sound? I don't have "do not disturb" on, airplane mode is off, I went into the settings and made it so literally everything should be making noise when anything happens, I don't have any "silent times" set. The only thing I haven't tried for it to make sound is throwing it at a wall.
- Why does my iphone screen not light up or make any sound when i get a text? So my iPhone 5 will ring when someone is calling me and when I put an alarm on. But whenever I have a text come in the screen does not light up and it does not make its usual sound either. I don't know why its doing it! It started a couple of days ago. I've made sure the ringer is on every time and its turned up on full! If anyone has a clue that'd be great!
- When I sing I sound good in my head but on recording it doesn't sound as good? I understand why this is but I want to know if it is because my iPhone recording quality isn't good. If not how do I actually listen to how others hear me sing.
