When is the iPhone X being released?

It' says it ships November 3rd. You can pre order on Oct. 27. When does it come out where I can just go down to my Verizon store and buy it? I want it before Christmas so do i have to pre- order or will they be avaliable?

The pre-orders start in late October and it goes on sale on November 3rd. And average folks will get it next year as the iPhone X will be in extremely and I do mean "extremely" limited availability due to Samsung only providing little better than a million iPhone X displays until 2018. Most tech experts agree, don't count on getting one until at least mid January, or more than likely February. Right now most of Samsung's production capacity is devoted to Galaxy phones. And hence Apple was forced to delay the iPhone X until November.

Besides the iPhone 8 may be a better choice anyway as it offers 98% of the same features for $200.00 cheaper and doesn't suffer from a ugly notch that's causing cropping issues on movies and games. And it has Touch ID that most agree is better than face ID.

But if you want it before Christmas your best chance is to pre-order as early after they are made available as possible.

Stock would be very limited from then through the end of 2017.

You won't be able to walk into a store and expect them to have them on the shelf. They will have very limited quantities and they'll be sold out through pre-order - just like every other release.
