When will I be able to use my Iphone?
I'm getting a second hand iphone and i had the sim from my blackberry 9320 cut down to the iphone 4s size and apparently you have to unlock it or something and my dad is going to do that today do you think i will be able to go on it today?
Yes after unlocking
If the SIM you intend to use in the iPhone is from a different network, you are going to struggle to get it unlocked in one day.
Most companies that offer unlocking on iPhones (specifically 4S) need at least 5-10 days for the carrier unlock to go through.
The only chance you've got of using it today is;
a) if the iPhone is already on your chosen network
b) the iPhone has already been unlocked
Either way, you will still be able to use it while connected to a Wi-Fi network for internet, games, appstore, email, photos etc - just no SMS or phone calls.
- Will you be able to use the iphone 5 with straight talk from walmart? I heard you can do it with a sim card is that true? If so where can i get a walmart sim card? Do i get it from the store or online? Yes you can put a sim card in it. I have one in my iphone 4s but i don't know if it is on the iphone 5 and if i buy the iphone 5 from at&t i shouldent have to unlock it right? Thats how the 4s works. If its at&t it doesn't need unlocking
- Will i still be able to use my iphone in another country without jailbreaking? I bought my iphone4 in japan since i was living there for sometime. But I've moved to a different country now. And I want to use the network provided.i'm still using ios4 and i feel like my iphone has been a lot more slower than it used to. Some tell me that in order to use it in a different country i need to jailbreak it but i want to update it to ios5. Will i still be able to use it if I update it to ios5?
- Will I still be able to use my iphone 5? I bought an iPhone 5 2 days ago. The phone was brand new and never been used. It's on a contract and instead of paying the contract (which isn't my contract its the guy who sold me it) i want to put my own nano sim in it. Will I be able to do this? It is on O2 network and I'm on tmobile so if I get it unlocked will i be able to put my own sim in it without O2 blocking the phone?
- Unlocked iPhone 4/4s still able to use with AT&T? My uncle has an old iPhone 4/4s (I don't remember which one) and it's an unlocked phone. Let's say he gives it to me and I have AT&T. Though it's unlocked, can I still use it with AT&T and update the phone's iOS regularly? Because I know that if you have an unlocked phone for let's say, T-Mobile, you can't update because that'll mess up your jailbreaking stuff.
