Why Apple hates jail breaking yet they get ideas from Cydia?

When you submite an app to apple you must pay them $100 every year to develop it. For years apple has been ripping off developers in App Store and in Cydia. Isn't it time for apple to give up the race and go android? Apple copies and blocks apps that offers a great benefit than they allow. And the monopoly of screening your code before they give you a green light on the app store is intellectually illegal. At least compesate the developers but apple just enjoys the billions after rip.look at auxo, Wi-Fi sync, notification centre and a bunch of individuals going under. The question is, is it worthy to develop for apple products? And will your next phone be an iPhone and why?

I think Apple is doing nothing wrong. Having a strict copyright policy isn't bad. Sure, I agree that charging developers $99 per year is simply ridiculous. But that has some advantages like devs can get their hands on beta products and the like.

Jailbreaking is a different thing. The main reason for companies negative attitude towards jailbreaking is the copyright infringement path it lays, not for the cool tweaks and add-ons. Jailbreaking an iPhone is not illegal. Anyone can do it. But after you jailbreak, you can run cracked apps (or apps that are not properly signed) on your phone. Believe me this hurts the devs more. They put their energy and their money onto a great app and they want to get a benefit from it. But if everyone out there's not buying apps, how could a company get any profits? Its simply ridiculous. Every one must pay, if he wants to use that app. If the devs want you to have it for free, they make it free.

People these days are becoming selfish. Downloading cracked apps and stuff while they still have the ability to purchase them legally.

I currently own an iPhone 4S. Been using the three Galaxy Ss before (the S1, S2 and S3) and the Galaxy Note II. At their respective time all were great phones. But they simply can't match my current 4S (even the Note II). My 4S is a non-jailbroken device running on the latest iOS firmware. Same is true for my iPad. I have jailbreaked many times before. Yes, its still an appealing concept. I have used many cool tweaks from Cydia (like Zephyr, Auxo, Bolt, Fake Operator, SB Settings and many many more), but that has also led me to illegal apps like the late Installous and the current AppCake.

My next phone is definitely an iPhone. Why? Its simple, elegant and sexy. The premium finishes are way better than Samsung's hardened plastics. And iOS is buttery smooth. No lags, no freezes and no frustrating moments. Don't get me wrong. I love Android and the other custom android OSs like CyanogenMod. They look superb, even better than iOS. But when it comes to functionality, i think they all swallowed more than they could chew. There's occasional freeze and noticeable lag. Especially on those lower end devices. Look at pocketnow's HTC One X review video and you will get what I'm saying. And then look at again pocketnow's iPhone 5 review. And see the difference for your self.
