Why are apple products so expensive?

It's all repetitive. There's no 'new innovative technology'. Apple just adds stuff they purposely did not add to the previous model just to get more sales. Just like the iPhone 4s. They could have easily gotten 4g LTE connection, but it does not and that is going to be one of the 'golden features' of the iPhone 5.

Marketing Penetration

Well Mainly Because They are Branded More quality And also Durable But Only Up to a certain extent.
And also Skimming Strategies

Same answer can be given if you ask why "Mercedez Benz Are expensive"?

Of course it's repetitive, almost all technology is. You could say there's been no real advances in computing for nearly 50 years now - just they've become faster, more efficient and easier to use.

You could also have made the same statement about 2G. Why the hell did they bother with 3G and just go to 5G? Or 8G or whatever.

Come to think of it, where's my jetpack, where's the free electricity, why can't I vacation on the moon? All of this was promised 40 or more years ago.

  • Why the iphone 5s is more expensive on ebay than in the apple store? I'm not complaining or anything just want to understand why would anyone buy it on ebay or what could be the reason why it is more expensive on ebay. Usually it is the other way around and on ebay you can get better deal but seems like when it comes to iphone 5s it is not the case. But why?
  • Why are apple products so overpriced? I'm never paying $300+ for an iPhone This is one of the many reasons capitalism is going to fail
  • Does apple replace broken apple products with refurbished ones? I just got a new iphone 4s from them today because my lock button jammed over the weekend. when he brought my new iphone over it came in a black box that was sealed and he had to take the sim card out of my old one and put it into my new one? i was wondering if the phone i have now is refurbished?
  • Do Apple Certified Re-sellers sell real apple products? I'm from Puerto Rico and even being part of the US we have no official Apple Store. But we do have a store in our malls that claim to be "Apple Certified Re-sellers". The products I have bought there so far have been only accessories, example: iPhone cases, watch bands, etc. So other than packaging and YouTube videos I'm not really sure how to tell if the products are fake or not. Are they? If they are how do they get away with claiming that they are Apple Certified?
