Why are people so obsessed with cellphones?
By obsessed with cellphones I mean people always talk about them and use them so much, and make fun of phones that people have. I'm not really much of a tech person, I have an iPhone 4s which I have had for like 4 years now, it was my first smartphone but I only use it for calling and taking pictures sometimes. I also have a computer which I use for the internet, but everyone always talks about phones and like make relationships with their phones, they care about every small detail and use their phones like it's their life. It's quite sad in my opinion, and some people buy the new iPhone every year. I'm probably never gonna buy a new phone again, as long as mine can call. Why are people like this? What's with the obsession?
They have a smartphone addiction. They are looking for constant affirmation from other social media users. Their happiness seems to depend on numbers of 'thumbs up' they receive and positive comments on stuff they post. Don't get me wrong I'm no luddite, my first smartphone was a Galaxy s1, own a smartphone now and have had several others inbetween. And I understand the attraction.
What I fail to understand is how you get into such a state where you allow a 2" × 4" piece of plastic and metal to consume your entire life.
Alot of peoples lives… Just suck… So they need their phones for escape… The problem is.social mediaa will be americas downfall… Facebook and ggogle both admit their spying on users. And most do not care…
Some people use their phones for a lot not just social media. Some people require it for work or work using social media. People tend to store a lot of personal information on a secure phone and do everything from banking to playing sleep music. Phones are overall a good thing and they make people happy, but they're an issue if someone can't stop using it or can't hold a conversation without pulling it out
- Why do people use their cellphones for the internet? A lot of people use their cellphones for everything like the internet but I just think it's way too small. I use my computer for the internet and I only use my cellphone for phone calls. I have an iPhone 7 Plus which is a huge phone but it's still too small to use the internet on and watch movies on, I don't even know why I paid 700 dollars for that lol but anyways why do people use cellphones? Do they think they look cool or something?
- Why are people obsessed with Joe Rogan's podcast? It is literally all my buddy talks about every other day. Rogan this, Rogan that. He always has to bring it up in amy conversation. Quite annoying really. He's also heavy into government conspiracies. Maybe that's why he likes the podcast so much? What's so good about gathering around your iPhone and listening to a UFC host talk about dumb stuff?
- Why are people obsessed with FB? I'm amazed how Facebook is dominating people's lives. I do have FB, but some off my friends in there post pictures of EVERYTHING! For example Carrier bags with loads of shopping in it etc etc.these are people who work and study, so where do they get the time. To be honest I think there's a lot of proudness on there, like selfridges bags, telling people where they are, pictures of iPhones etc.man get a life'
- What do British people think about how Americans are obsessed with the Royal Family? On American TV it's like they obsess over every little things that happens about the royal family in England I mean NBC news had some 'royal wedding app' for the iphone one time or something it's kinda sad what do Brits think of this?
