Why can't I hear voice in my beats with my iPhone?

I had gotten Bose headphones a s a Xmas gift. In my iPhone i couldn't hear voice but I could hear music fine. I sent them back because of that and got beats… Same error. And also, I could hear fine in my MacBook. What should I do?

With the beats, you can switch the the wires that connect to the headsets with the one that connects with the iPhone. If there's still a problem, get your phone checked out.
