Why can't i receive normal texts while using iMessage?
Is it possible to send/receive normal texts at the same time as having IMessage on? Just need a simple answer for this^^^
Every time my friend sends a text a message from a non IPhone it will quickly reply to her saying " The recipient that you're trying to send to has chosen not to receive messages. Msg 2111 " What can be the possibilities?
Added (1). No I'm asking if you can receive normal texts from
a regular phone while your
iMessages is turned on.

If your using an ipod you can only text other iPhone or ipod users using there email addresses for ipod or phone numbers for iPhone. If your using an ipod and wish to text an non apple phone then download a free texting app such as pinger, text free, text now.
IMessage only supports iPhones, iPads, and iPods. You need an iMessage account or a phone number registered with iMessage to message an iMessage account.
A non idevice can't register for iMessage.
In other words it is unfortunately impossible.
- Will i still receive texts if I turned my iMessage off? I used up all my data this month, and I only can use iMessage in a Wi-Fi area now. So when I'm at work or school and don't get Wi-Fi, will i still get a text from someone who has an iPhone? It would just show up in green and be a regular text, right? Or would I not get it at all?
- Why won't my iphone send or receive texts? I have just bought an iPhone off my friend. I also have free texts. It sometimes says that I have signal and other times says that I don't have any. But whenever I try and send a text they won't send. I also don't receive any messages either. Does anybody know why this is happening?
- Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
- Why doesn't my iPhone send or receive calls or texts? I purchased an iPhone second hand on t-mobile, 3G works fine but can't receive any calls or texts or send them. Thought the IMEI might have been blocked. Any ideas?
