Why did i go over my data even though i had it off
I have an iPhone 5 with a 300mb data plan on AT&T, and i noticed i was almost going to go over it (i had 297 of 300mb) so i turned off my cellular usage off in the settings and just used my home Wi-Fi. But today i woke up and i got a message from AT&T saying that i had gone over my limit by 7mb! WHY? I had it off and never turned it on… Also, What happens if i go over my data?
You are charged extra when you go over your limit.
Was the 297 in real time or delayed? You could have gone over 300 before you even saw you were at 297.
The app is a little delayed before it shows you the results.
- Will i be charged for texts on iPhone even though i turned off cellular data and enable 3G? I have turned off my cellular data and 3G believing that everything of texts web browsing etc. Is all based on Wi-Fi. I know imessage won't charge me even though i'm on Wi-Fi. However if i were to text someone who does not have an iphone and it isn't imessage will i still be charged? Because sending messages to them works with my cellular data and 3g off but will i be charged or even charged more since it is off?

I even checked my imei number online and it said the phone was factory unlocked. Is there anything i can try, i've never ran across something like this.
- Why does my iphone use data over night when cellular data is turned off? Every night I turn off cellular data and leave the iPhone on and one day I wake up and check my data manager and see i have already used 25 MB please help!
- Why does my iPhone 4s data get throttled over even if I'm on Wi-Fi? Sorry for the stupid question but google gave me nothing. I have AT&T and I'm over 3GB so my data is being throttled. However, I found that it was even getting throttled when on my home Wi-Fi network. I turned off cellular data and it was almost ten times faster. Anyone have any clue as to why this would happen?
