Why do I look different on my Iphone camera than in the mirror?

When I look at myself on my camera it looks way different than in the mirror. My face looks a lot more flawed on the camera which seems weird since the camera is digital and the mirror is in real life. Which one is more accurate?

The MIRROR. The phone normally makes your face look clearer.

The mirror is more accurate. BUT you are looking at a reversed image if your self in the mirror which the camera dies not do. The digital camera pixelates your image, and you probably Gabe no idea what the pixel resolution of the camera is.

Back to the mirror image being reversed, and imagine you looking at you. Raise your right hand. Your image has raised their left hand.

This is why pictures of you seem to be strange No one has a completely symmetrical face or body.

Try holding the camera farther away and compare the results.

The rest should be OBVIOUS to you.

The image in a mirror is reversed left-to-right - just hold up a newspaper in front of a mirror to test that idea.

The camera in any mobile phone has a wide-angle lens, a very bad idea if you want a good portrait, because the camera is too close to your face. Your face seems too round and your nose looks too big. Have the camera at least 6 feet from your face to get a good pic of your face. You will need to zoom in, of course, and thus lose a bit of technical quality in the image file.

And how come the older iPhones were more accurate and for me it's not about showing flaws it's when I have eyeliner on for some reason it shows it like all gray and Chalky looking when in reality it's on point
