Why do I receive text messages and missed calls on my old Iphone. How do I stop this? - 1
When someone calls me on my new phone, it shows up as "missed call from ____". It doesn't ring on my on my old phone, but after I answer the call on my new phone, it says missed call on the old phone, if that makes sense. I receive text messages from people on my old iphone as well. I use it as my iPod because it could drain the life out of my new phone, so I don't necessarily want to reset the entire phone. I have cellular data off and I'm with Verizon.
Did you take the phone to verizon and ask them? DUH?
It sounds like Verizon hasn't totally deactivated your old phone. If you have one number on Verizon, only one phone is supposed to work at all on that number. The only way to get this fixed is to call them and explain the problem, or bring both phones to a Verizon store.
- Will I still receive missed imessages when I leave a Wi-Fi area? My iphone 4s currently has no service as in the phone is shut off. However, I still can send iMessages. My question is if I iMesssage someone and I leave the Wi-Fi area will I receive their response message when I find another Wi-Fi area or will I just never receive it?
- Will I receive all missed text messages once my service is back on? My parents temporarily cut off my phone service (AT&T iPhone). When they turn it back on, should I receive all missed texts from when it was off?
- Why don't I receive alerts or a notification when I receive a text and I already checked my settings? I adjusted my setting and even put the ringer and notifications on and put the volume and ringer on and I receive no alert, no pop up, alert or notification when someone texts me. Why? This is the iPhone X! I went to the cell phone/ carrier store and they didn't help me. They said to go to the apple store or check the settings. I already adjusted the settings. So what do I do now?
