Why do so many kids these days have no respect for the things they get? - 1
For example a lot of kids these days get angry if they don't get an iphone or a new ipad or laptop, etc. They expect all these new game stations from their parents. If they see someone appreciate someone old, they'll call that someone lame or boring, etc. When my friends and I were kids (in the 80's and 90's) we and all the other kids had legos, gameboys, Nintendos, VCR players, cups with string attached, and crayons with coloring books. But everything was appreciated even though it wasn't as high-tech. More kids were greatful back then. Why aren't today's kids as greatful? Especially since everything works better now.

Mostly because their parents don't teach them to be respectful & allow them to have high expectations of life when in reality life's a b***h. Parents should be teaching their kids the value of money but no they give in & let them have whatever they want. A lot of parents feel guilty saying "no you can't have that" they want the best for their children but saying no teaches them about reality.
Kids have to learn somewhere along the way they can't have everything they want in life. We have a nation of kids who think the world owes them a favour.

My friends have iphone 5's and are really proud of it, so proud they laugh at me (sarcastically) for not having an iphone. And every high school student has one. They're so common they make the galaxy s3 look like a regular phone. i'm not trolling

- Why do so many kids have phones? I'm 15 with a flip phone and I'm not even complaining. There's kids at my school with the latest iPhones and a lot of them don't even pay for it. My mom won't let me buy any phone I want until I'm 18. Is she strict or are these parents just spoiling them?
