Why is my laptop not picking up my Wi-Fi but my iphone is?
I have an 'Acer Aspire One Happy 2' laptop that runs on windows 7. I have just gone to my grans and her Wi-Fi works fine on my Iphone 4 but my laptop is not even picking up the signal. My laptop works fine at the Mcdonalds round the corner from me so why isn't it working here. I even typed it in manually and it didn't work, its not picking up any signal at all
The router in your gran's may be set to wireless "n" mode. If the acer has a wireless "g" card it won't be able to see the router. If so you would either need to set the router to mixed mode or buy a USB Wi-Fi "n" dongle for the Acer

- Worth picking up an Iphone 4 for $279? It's not the S model, I don't believe, but is that a good price? Or can I find something significantly better for the price? - Why is apple jumping straight to iphone 8 and not 7s and 7s plus? In the past we saw the 4s,5s,6s,3gs, etc. But why not 7s? Can you tell me why they might be skipping the s series? Or is the iphone 8 going to be called the iphone 7s?
- Why does my Wi-Fi connect to my ipad and iphone but not my laptop? My Wi-Fi on my laptop will say its connecting but then doesn't. It says my cord is broken or not plugged in but I've checked it and there's nothing wrong. My Wi-Fi connects fine to my iPad and iPhone. Not understanding why it won't connect to my laptop anymore.
