Why is my son so addicted to video games?

Why is my son who is thirteen so addicted to video games and his phone. He has xbox 360 and iPhone 5s

Video games are addicting. 13 is not a healthy age to be addicted to something. He needs to be olde rto make that decision and choice himself.

Try limiting his time a little bit.

First off why the hell would you buy your 13 year old son a IPhone 5s? And its normal for a guy to like playing video games and its actually healthy I first got addicted when i was only 5.

I love them too, but am not addicted. It just depends on what he's playing. For me, it's the emotions and experiences conveyed through the game play (maybe because I'm a fangirl). Set limitations for your son.

An Iphone 5s for a 13 year old? The only way to solve this problem even though it is already far too late would be to limit both his access to his phone and games. The phone should only be with him at school or anywhere that he is not in the eyes of an adult. Video games should only be allowed 2-4 hours a day and as an incentive for him after he has done all his chores and homework. I really hope this is a troll and not a real plea for help as a parent because this is complete and utter non sense

Video games are a normal activity for young people these days. Many people also continue playing them when they're older as well. Unless he's playing for 7+ hours a day there isn't anything to worry about from the info you've given.
