Why when i sent a text on iPhone to iPhone it doesn't say delivered?
Okay so i sent a text on iMessage to my best friend but it didn't say delivered? And then when i called her it rang? What happened? Did she get the text? Is she ignoring me?
Well why don't you check with your friend? I mean, she's your best friend. Ask if your message got delivered to her phone and if she got the text. Otherwise, she didn't get your text. Simple as that.
"Delivered" means the iDevice received the message.
If "Send Read Receipts" is enabled by the recipient, then it will change to "Read" once it's actually been seen by them.
If the recipient has "Send Read Receipts" disabled, then it will remain as "Delivered" and won't ever show as "Read".
- Will my message be delivered if sent as text message on iphone? My friend said that she was having phone problems earlier today. My message was being sent as an imessage, but I guess she wasn't receiving everyone of them, just getting the notifications that they were sent to her but she couldn't read them. I then responded to her, but it was sent as a text message this time and i have gotten no response. I'm not as much concerned about her responding or not, I just want to know if she will receive the message.
- Will a text be sent if I deleted it before it was delivered? I have an Iphone 8 plus, and I sent a text and i had little/no service. I had "No Service" and then one bar (No LTE or 3G) it was just one single bar. I then sent it as a text message, but the blue line on the top of the screen was still there trying to send it. It said "failed to send text message" but it didn't have the "!" next to it. I then got fed up and deleted the one message, do you think it was still sent or did I delete it?
- Why does it say read on one & then on another it just says delivered? On my iPhone when I'm iMessageing someone it just says delivered on it. But on my friends phone it says read at the time that i read it. And then on her phone she'll be iMessageing another person & it will also just say delivered? So I'm confused on how to get it to tell me when they read it or can i even make it like that?

I have an iPhone 5s, and the messaging thing is being sorta odd… My friend and I got together and i sent her a smilie face to her iPhone, she had seen it but below the little message it said delivered. Why didn't it say read? Can you help me fix it?
