Why won't my brand new charger work on my IPhone?

I have an iPhone 4S, I've had it since December 2012. My old charger has broken and I recently got a new one but it won't work in my computer or in the wall. I've cleaned out the charging port from 90% of the dust.
I have a fake iPhone charger which I got off eBay, that broke last night but before it broke it would work fine with charging my phone so I don't see why it won't charge now?

Looks like there's a problem with the charger, don't buy fake ones it will significantly affect the life of your iPhone. Buy only original chargers.
