Wi-Fi authentication problem - how do I fix it?
Wi-Fi is working perfectly fine on my phone, but on my dad's phone it says 'authentication failure' - both phones are connected to the same modem so what's the problem?
If it helps, I have an iPhone and my dad has a samsung galaxy s2, we're both on Vodafone

"Authentification Failure" points to the missing password. You have to configure the Wi-Fi in the device with a SSID name and password. Also if the Wi-Fi router is configured with MAC filtering then you have to type in the MAC number in the configuration page. MAC number is the Machine Access Code which is unique for each device. Delete the connection on your Dad's phone, then set it up again and be sure to enter the correct password!
That may be the 2 phones do not have the same type of encryption available. Earlier ones only had WEP encryption, later ones only have WPA. Check the documentation for both. If that is the case you may need to replace the existing router (if it was just a modem it could not support more than one machine) with one that can use both types of encryption. Check out Netgear.
As what fred has written in the answer it can be the problem of the encryption check that your modem is using the same encryption the one which mobile phone allows wep2 etc. This can be found in the network settings.
- Splice problem? Can i fix it? Or similar free app? I LUV splice. The free verision has exactly what i need except now my videos are black. I use it for viddy. When i make a video on splice & hit view you don't see the video, you can only hear the audio, is there a way I can fix that? I want to stay with the free verison cuz i don't wanna pay $3.99 for the other. If there isn't a way to fix that is there another free video app just like it that i could use for the iphone?

- Iphone 4s Wi-Fi problem? Anybody else have this problem? So i have an iphone 4s from bell canada. Its a great phone but i have a problem with my Wi-Fi. when i turn my Wi-Fi ON it will work fine. But after 4 or 5 minutes continuous working, it will stop working. and i have to turn it OFF and then turn it ON again for later browsing. i can't even see the full length youtube video of 5 minutes, because it will stop working in the mid of the video any help
