Wi-Fi over airplane mode on Iphone 4?
Hi, I will be traveling in the states this week and an curious to know if I use Wi-Fi on airplane mode at hotel
If it will cost me any money? My friend didn't get charge but I wanna be sure
Turning on airplane mode basically makes your iphone an ipod.

Yes you can, if the hotel has Wi-Fi. Most do, but not all and not necessarily free. Ask the hotel.
Some hotels offer free Wi-Fi in the room and MOST offer free Wi-Fi in the lobby.
You would have to ask the hotel when you check in, or look on their website under amenties.
You could also go to a Starbucks or many other retail establishments that offer Wi-Fi.
Whether or not your cell phone carrier charges you depends on your data plan.
