Will at&t services work in australia? (iphone 4G)?
I'm planing to travel to australia for a month from america. I need my iphone gps to navigate through austrialia while walking around. For this, i'll be needing my 4G. Will at&t services work in australia, such as calling, texting, and most importantly--4g?
It will probably work, but it might charge extra for international coverage.
Sadly, no. But what you can do is purchase an international plan and add your line to that plan. Just simply explain your situation to the sales reo and he/she will gladly set you up with the AT&T International Service Plan.
Well no.AT&T does not operate in Australia.
Calling & texting will likely be possible, through a roaming agreement but I would not advise that you use that since it is very expensive.
4G of course will not work period since you would be far out of the coverage area but again it may be possible through the same agreement I mentioned.
I'd look into getting the iPhone unlocked & use a local pre-paid SIM while there. Much cheaper option.
