Will I get into a good college?

FYI: I'm American but I'm using the Canadian website because of technical issues.

I'm a sophomore in high school (year 11) and I'm thinking about college. Actually, I've been thinking about college since 7th grade.

I'm at a private school and I get good grades. I had a 3.3 at the end of last semester. I had a 3.8 the semester before, but I had a more aggressive sports schedule (lacrosse and club volleyball) and I got an iPhone, which is very distracting.

Now it's sophomore year. I'm taking Algebra II, English II, common placement US History, Honors Chemistry, and Honors Spanish III. As far as extra-curriculars go, I play volleyball and lacrosse for school and tennis outside of school just for fun. I played club volleyball last year, but it was hard, far, and I didn't like a lot of my teammates and my grades suffered. It'll look good on my application and I'm a much better player so I want to do it again. I'm in my school a Cappella group for the 2nd year in a row and I'm part of BBYO, which is a Jewish youth group. I'm writing an article for the school newspaper and I'm part of the Model UN club. I'm planing on doing community service too (it's actually a requirement) and I want to start a charity.

Yeah, it's a lot.

I want to be a geneticist or oncologist. I have no clue if this is possible, but I want to solve genetic disorders (autism, down syndrome, etc.) in utero, which means in the uterus. I'd also like to find out a cure for cancer in a way that's less aggressive than radiology or chemotherapy.

I want to go to a research school so I can get a good background for graduate school. I'd love to join an a Cappella group, too. I'm thinking about University of Chicago, Berkeley, University of Pennsylvania, University of Michigan, or any good school really. I want to major in Biochemistry so I'm sure any good school will offer a good course for me to take.

What can I do to better myself and get into a good school?

I'm currently at the University of Pennsylvania and I can tell you: it's an amazing place to be. What you have is impressive. And it's worth it that you start taking your GPA very seriously. Not everyone here had perfect scores, but try to stay above 3.7 and work very hard on your SAT. Take challenging classes. Academics count. Make it happen. • Which computer should I get for college? I'll be going into engineering. I've traditionally been a windows person, but I'm thinking about getting a Mac, especially since I got an iPhone about 7 months ago and I love it. I also am thinking about getting a Windows 8 tablet/iPad, since they look cool, but i don't know if they are as capable as laptops are. What do you think?
  • What laptop should I get for college? I'm getting a laptop for college and I'm not sure which one to get. I'm a pretty big gamer, movie watcher, and youtuber so I thought the Alienware would be my best bet. But I do have an iphone and I love what apple has been producing, so I would also think a mac book would help me out. I really only need a laptop for a couple online courses and to write papers. But I want a gaming laptop because the new consoles coming out don't look to great, especially the xbox one.
  • What is good business to get into? I wanna start my own business. I was thinking about designing and selling IPhone cases to start but now I'm having second thoughts. Should i stick with the IPhone cases or try something else? Any ideas?
  • Speakers for my college dorm recommendations? Moving into the dorms for my second year of college and want to buy some crystal clear speakers that will hook up to my laptop and/or iphone so any suggestions? I like to listen to house music, rap, and whatever. Want speakers that produce nice bass as well: D My budget is $60 or less
