Will iPhone 6 still be a good phone next year?
I got an iPhone 6 Space Gray specification as a hand-me-down from my mother in March this year (2017). I really like the phone and it's in fairly good condition for a phone that came out in 2014/15. My question is if I decide to keep it till the end of next year (Fall/Winter 2018), will it be considered of little value then? I feel like with the release of a new iPhone every September, iPhones get old really quickly, in terms of software. What do you think?
If it works, you can update it and it should be a good phone for some time to come.

They don't. Its a good thing that iPhones are supported as long as they are in terms of software updates. The iPhone 6 should continue to get updates until September 2019.
- Will there be a iPhone 9 next year or will they skip 9 and go to 11? I hope the next phone is a 9, I hate skipping numbers maybe not next year but within 2 years I bet they come out with another new phone, I just hope its called a 9 and not 11, the x isn't the number 10 its just for the 10 year anniversary
- Will I be able to 'unlock' my iPhone 5 next year? I have an iPhone 5. Unfortunately, I'm moving to Europe. My iPhone is locked. I do not want to buy a new smartphone. I'm moving next summer, will there be an option to unlock the iPhone by then?
- Should i buy the iphone 8 plus/X next month or wait for the next release which is in September 2018? I'm thinking of getting a new iphone next month but my dad suggested i wait for the new ones in September, what do you guys think and if you think i should get one of the current iphones which should i get the 8 plus or the X?
- Is the iPhone 5C still a good phone this year? I'm using an iPhone 5C with 32gb right now that's unlocked but I also bought two iPhone 6 because I'm not on contract but with a prepaid carrier. I bought an unlocked 64gb and an unlocked 128gb one and when looking online I'm realizing that it might be stupid to keep the iPhone 6 since I could make profit when selling both phones. Would the 5C still be a good phone to keep this year and possibly next year?
