Will my iPhone 4s Micro-Sim work in a Samsung Galaxy S3?

Some people have told me it won't work because the sim is made specifically for the iPhone but others have said it will work! I need 100% confirmation that it will definitely work.

It will work. No SIM is made specifically for a phone.

For example the same SIM I bought for a phone I bought in 2003 worked in a
Nokia 5100
Nokia 6230
Nokia 6230i
Apple iPhone
Apple iPhone 4 (had to cut it to microSIM size before)

Would likely have been using that same SIM in my current iPhone 5 but I couldn't cut it any lower than it already was.
