Will my iPhone 5S still work in China?
I'm going to China tomorrow and I was wondering if my iPhone will still work. I don't mean use it for calling and using the Internet, I mean can I still use it to play games that is already on my phone? I'm planning to put it on airplane mode the whole time I'm there.
If your apps don't require internet connection to work, then they should work. You can put your phone on airplane mode now and see which apps work and which don't.
Haha yeah of course it will. It will even work if you go to another planet. Though you may not be able to use a local carrier service in China if your phone's under a special connection, say AT&T or Verizon etc.
As long as it is charged ad you are not using those mentioned features, the games and things will be functional. You just can't connect to game center

A definite yes, do not worried. Even if it needs to connect internet or you can't find free Wi-Fi, you can still get a new telephone card anywhere which can be used in China. Also with a telephone card, it is more convenient for you to keep contacts with your friends.
- Will my verison iPhone 4 work in China? I'm going to China for 10 days in November and I'm worried that my phone won't have service being I'm from The USA. I have Verison and its an iPhone 4. Will it possibly have Internet but not be able to text or make calls. I've heard that it will text but no calls and I've heard that nothing will work, not even Internet. So I'm just trying to get a real answer. Does anyone know from experience or work for verison or something?
- Will Facebook work in China if I use the app on my iphone? I know Facebook in china is blocked, but will it make a difference if I use the app on my iphone. Has anybody here been to china and tried this?
- Sprint iPhone 4S use in China? I have a iPhone 4S currently under contract with Sprint. I'm moving to China and would like to use the iPhone under another carrier like China Mobile or China Unicom. My understanding is if I cancel my contract (fees may apply), jailbreak the phone, then unlock it I can use it with another carrier in China. Is this correct? Also, do I need to have the new China SIM card to perform the unlock process, or can I unlock it in the US then take it to China?
- Iphone has defect screen but still connects to itunes, does the iphone still work? My iphone was ran over by a car and the screen is completely shattered. when i connect it to my laptop, the iphone appears in itunes and i can access all pictures, videos,… now my question is: does this mean that the iphone still functions properly and just needs a new screen?
