Will my voice sound better or worse on recording?
To practise for auditions, I record myself (on my iPhone 4s if that makes a dofference) singing and doing monologues. What I want to know if those recordings make my voice sound better or worse than how it actually is, or if that's how everyone else around me hears my talking/singing.
You're voice sounds the same on recording as in real life, to hear the way your voice really sounds put two books or dividers in front of your ears to stop the sound from vibrating up your jaw.
It will sound the same as you sing in real life, it might just sound weird to you, because you don't hear yourself completely. Try singing while cupping your ear because that will make the sound reach your better without recording.
- Will my singing voice sound better recorded on a professional mic in a studio? & does it get edited? All I have to record me singing is my iPhone & I think I sound awful over that & it makes me sad & say horrible things that I suck
- When I sing I sound good in my head but on recording it doesn't sound as good? I understand why this is but I want to know if it is because my iPhone recording quality isn't good. If not how do I actually listen to how others hear me sing.
- Voice recording apps on iPhone with a loop option? I need to memorise a page of French for a speaking test and I want to try that technique where you listen to a recording of your own voice overnight. Is there an app for this? It needs to automatically replay my recording continuously. And it MUST be free Someone help
- Just because the world could be worse, does that excuse us for not trying to make it better? Shouldn't everyone be working to further the revolutionary effort /end concepts such as tyranny, privilege, and wage labour? Why should we give up now just because we have Iphones and flat screen TVs, what about liberty, equality and fraternity?
