Will the Police do anything?

I live in Canada. I lost my phone 3 days ago, and a guy found it after I called it numerous times from my friends phone. We were supposed to meet up 2 times already but he is not replying to me, ignoring me, and lying about how he can't go anymore just an hour before our 'meeting'. Should I get the police involved about helping me retrieve this phone? I know what he looks like from facebook, and I know his typical address since the Find My iPhone feature helped me track it. Will they help me if I go to the police station?

With the information you have, it would be worth contacting the police. I can't promise you they'll act on that info though.

Did you call you cell phone company to disable it? Once you do that he can't use it

if you figure out where he is, and get the address, then file a police report, then they can follow up and investigate

so stop contacting this guy… They're usually too scared to meet
and don't threaten him or tell him what you plan to do or know where he lives etc
