Will this work if I want to downgrade my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 7 installed. I want to downgrade to iOS 4.2.1. I have already downloaded the iOS 4.2.1 from an Apple archives page for previous software updates.

If I connect my iPhone in iTunes on my computer and right-click "restore" and choose the 4.2.1 file, will it restore to that software version successfully?

Not unless you jailbroke on both versions. I downgraded my iPod using.shsh blobs and stuff. It worked then, doubt it now.
