Will Unlocking My iPhone (Unlocked By The Carrier, AT&T) Remove The Unlock?

I Recently Traded In My iPhone 4 At The AT&T Store For An iPhone 5, And They Unlocked My iPhone 4. Will Updating The iOS Remove The Unlock? I'm Just Wondering Because I'm Pretty Sure This Is A Different Type Of Unlock.

Since your iPhone 4 was officially factory unlocked by AT&T, updating iOS will *not* remove the unlock. This would only happen if it was unlocked using one of the jailbreaks you can download online.

Factory unlocked iPhones can't get locked again. However, you can unlock the AT&T iPhone really cheaply nowadays.

It will not remve the unlock.

If your phone is factory unlocked then no matter what you do with it can't lock your phone again
but if your phone is not factory unlock then you should worry about it

Thats what the sim-unlocking is all about bro… Once these guys unlock it you restore with iTunes and voila -- you are scott-free haha I mean SIM-FREE. And here comes my TM all you can munch plan… But I played it even smart.

I got my iphone 5 unlocked in 6 hours… And Sold it for DOUBLE the price the next day lol lol

check out http://www.ifactoryunlockiphones.com -- worth the money I would say. And then I went and ordered the factory unlocked directly from Apple -- came in last week.

But later when I checked the IMSI it is actually AT&T iPhones that Apple Factory unlocked lol…
