Will updating iphone software make it charge again?
I haven't updated itunes on my computer for ages and on my iphone there's been a notification to update software for ages. My iphone 3 won't charge, well it will but only if its powered off and plugged into computer.doesn't charge through wall chargers or if powered on it won't charge on computer. I can't afford a new phone and i need my phone to be fixed as it has photos of my newborn.itunes or my computer doesn't recognise it. Will restoring it make it charge again. But then sgain ill lose my fotos
Added (1). @ james: yeah i thought battery or hardware.can't transfer photos though because its not recognised.
Does anyone know how much it costs to get a new battery put in or hardware to get fixed?
More than likely this will not fix the issue. The issue you seem to have is most likely caused by a bad battery.
In regards to your photos, you can transfer the photos to your PC before restoring and then add them back on your iPhone once you're on the new version of iOS, and you won't lose them.
- Would updating the software on my iPhone (4s) delete everything off it? So I just got a notification to my phone that said new software update. I clicked close because I didn't know wheather it would delete everything off my phone. But if I do update my software, will everything be deleted off of it?
- Will updating my unlocked iPhone 3GS lock it again? My phone is on 4.1 and I wish to update it can I do so without it locking again? And if so can I do it on iTunes?
- Will updating my iPhone's software delete purchased apps and songs? I'm going to update my iPhone's 6.1.4 software to ios 7 when it is released in a few days. Some of my apps aren't available in the App Store anymore so will the update delete these apps off my phone?
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
