Will using a knockoff iphone charging wall adapter ruin my iphone?
I know that knockoff iphone chargers are bad for your iphone, but will a knock off wall adapter have any effect or harm the iphone?
"knockoff iphone chargers are bad for your iphone" only if they are made improperly or the USB-Lighting cable is somehow had.
For example, for my iPhone 6s and now iPhone 8, I used a Belkin USB-Lighting cable to connect the phones to a USB outlet on my Targus AC adapter used for my HP laptop. This AC Adapter has a USB port.
I also plug my iPhones into the HP laptop's USB port and the iPhones recharge just fine. And I have plugged my iPhones into a 7-port "Kingwin" USB "splitter" that's been plugged into my iMacs or HP laptop… And no problem. And I recently replaced the AC wall outlet in the kitchen with a new otlet that has two USB charging ports… And it works great - no external power adapter needed. When camping, I carry a TalentCell powerbank and recharge the iPhones with it…
And… I keep a "Symtek" wall charger adapter and appropriate cable in my computer case… And I have successfully used it to recharge lots of iPhones (including the current 8, previous 7, 6s and 4s and various iPads and coworker's idevices).
- Will my battery ruin if I keep charging it? I have the iPhone 5 and I hate it when it gets below 95% and I charge it every chance I get, in my car, at home when I'm sitting around, at friends. But will this ruin my battery if I keep doing this?
- Will charging my iPhone ruin my car battery if its off? I'm currently in NJ and I'm one of those thousands that has its power out with no hope of it turning on soon. Inside my car I have a zagg dual USB car charger. If I plug in my phone or tablet to charge will it ruin my car battery if its not running on gas?
