Windows 7 won't recognise USB?
So, my PC (I built it myself) has been on a massive render for the past 4 days, (and night). I was bored about an hour ago and started playing MInecraft, in the middle of a game, I was messing with my wireless mouse and keyboard receiver, I was plugging in a external HDD and needed a USB 3 port free. So I disconnected the Logitech receiver (M185) and plugged it back in, and now it won't pick up the mouse or keyboard (the keyboard is on the same receiver). Also, no other devices are picked up, the iPhone and iPad do nothing when plugged in, external HDDs turn on but do not interact with the computer. So I need to check this render, but I'm stuck in MInecraft and can't control the PC. I also can't shut down as it would interrupt the render and I don't want to waste 4 days worth of rendering.
Specs:
Intel Pentium G2130
Asus p8z77-v lx
4GB corsair vengeance 1600Mhz
WD Caviar Blue 500GB 7200RPM
AMD Radeon HD 7790
Windows 7 64bit (Home Premium)
If you put a usb device and it didn't do the plug in or out sound effect disable and enable usb slot from devices and printers but if it didn't recognize it i recommend to reinstall windows if it didn't work check your bios
You will have to wait until the rendering is finished, then shutdown and restart, odds on your USB will be recognised.

Well if none of your USB ports, keyboard or mouse is working - your really up a nasty creek with no paddle.
First try unplugging all the USBs and then just plugging the keyboard only back in, see if it can at least recognise the keyboard, try switching USB ports for the keyboard as well.
If it can't recognise the keyboard then try the same with the mouse.
Still no joy, your only option then is to shut the computer down, remove the power cable for a minute from the computer and the re-connect it, then reboot the computer.
It is important that you remove the power cable because if something USB fails on a computer Windows can set a flag to not use the USB, and that flag normally stays in place until you've done a full cold reboot.
Btw another suggestion is - next time your doing a 4 day render DON'T TOUCH THE COMPUTER TILL IT'S FINISHED!
