WIndows 8 laptop won't stay connected to internet?
I have a Samsung Series 5 Windows 8 laptop, which I have had for a little over a year now, and have had no issues with it whatsoever. Now, all of a sudden, it has issues maintaining a connection to my FiOS home Wi-Fi. Sometimes it can stay connected for hours with no problem, but other times it can barely go 3 minutes without disconnecting, or going to a "limited" connection. The router supports several other devices, such as my iPhone, iPod, iPad, my parents' windows 8 laptop, my sister's windows 7 laptop, her iPod, my xbox, etc. And none of those devices have any problems with the connection, just my laptop does. It began acting up about 2-3 weeks ago, and I've turned off my computer countless times, restarted the router, etc. But nothing really seems to work. Somebody please help me! I'm so frustrated!
I had the same problem with my Dell. It would not detect my smartphone used as a hotspot and if it did it took hours and went on limited also. Other computers had no problem detecting it.
No windows troubleshooting helped so I went and got a Belkin Wi-Fi usb adapter for $15.00. Problem fixed. I think the problem is the adapter in the computer goes bad.
Try to get a usb adapter that fits your computer and try that.

Hi, The Problem is - i set up a wireless network today for my Iphone 5 and my blackberry, from my main desktop at home, and all went well and Both are connected to it, as well as my laptop. But now whenever i try using the internet on these devices ( iphone etc ) it does not work, although the main desktops internet is working… Can anyone help me? I'm using WINDOWS 7.
- Why won't my Wi-Fi stay connected on my iPhone? Everyone in my house has an iPhone. My phone is the only phone that constantly disconnects from the Wi-Fi every 10-15 minutes. I tried resetting the network and everything.
- Why won't my iPhone 4S stay connected to Wi-Fi? Every time I'm connected to Wi-Fi and then lock my screen the Wi-Fi isn't connected anymore. So then I have to go to setting and reconnect every time. How can I stay connected to Wi-Fi even when I lock my screen.
- Why does my iPhone not stay connected to the internet? My phone is in a constant state of logging on and off of the internet and will not stay connected. I have an iPhone 4, I just updated to iOS 6, I've sync'd to iTunes, restarted my phone, turned off Wi-Fi and turned it back on, and even reset my home internet but nothing has fixed the issue. I'm also unable to update my apps, but thats another question. Anyone know what could be wrong?
