Windows xp can't find modem?

Ok pretty annoying night, I've been up for 6 hours trying to fix my laptop. I finally just went screw it and did everything over, restarted windows xp and got it running, I'm trying to get wireless Internet but it can't seem to find any of my modems, setting an Internet connection won't show any ports or anything. I have TWC and it's pissing me off, I'm on wireless Internet right now with iPhone but it won't show on laptop.
Any help connecting my modem to laptop would be appreciated.

My first guess is that you need to download the drivers for both the modem and Wi-Fi card, assuming it has one, from the manufacturers site. These might come through when you install windows updates but that does not do you any good because obviously you can't get online. I keep a wireless usb around to install on computers temporarily so I can get online and take care of stuff like this. If you have one use it. If not get flash drive, get online with another computer, go to the manufacturers site and download what you need. Then install it on the laptop and go from there. Hope this helps.

XP has no LAN Drivers, you should find out what you have and install it. Mine is "RealTek PCIe GBE Family Controller', yours might be different though.
