Would the iphone 5s work in Mexico?
I have an aunt that wants the iphone 5s and she lives in Mexico so I call apple store to see if they have the iphone 5s unlocked and they said that is coming out in a month and I was looking at the tmobile one but I want to know if that one would work in Mexico? Or the Verizon?
If the phone is set up as GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) she would only need a sim card from a local carrier for the phone and she could use it! No Problemo!
This is why the GSM phones have a slight price premium over the CDMA (Code division multiple access) that is used by T-Mobile, Sprint. I would go with a Verizon or AT&T iPhone if you are planning to use it in another country.
5S is both GSM and CDMA so I don't see why not
